Comedy Night! ft. San Francisco Comedy Competition
The San Francisco Comedy Competition has been challenging the best stand-up comedians in the world for over forty years now. Taking place in the Bay Area and extending to other towns in Northern California, this event challenges its participants to see who can bring it night after night in front of different audiences. From the very first year, when Bill Farley took top honors over Robin Williams...to the fourth year, when Marsha Warfield claimed the crown, besting other finalists that included Dana Carvey, Michael Winslow and A. Whitney Brown...to year ten, when Ellen DeGeneres came in second to Sinbad...to the twentieth competition where Doug Stanhope bested Dane Cook--the stories from this competition are the stories of Modern American Stand-Up Comedy. And that continues to this day, where this event continues to produce compelling entertainment and the inherent drama of competition. The 46th San Francisco Comedy Competition is in the books, adding a new name to the list of those who have faced this challenge and come out on top. Who will claim top honors in 2022?
The semi-final round of the 46th San Francisco Comedy Competition takes the stage on Thursday, September 15th at the El Rey!
